Matilda is really a mermaid gown cleverly disguised as an A-line dress—tissue organza overlay floats over a mermaid silhouette composed of guipure lace. An intricate and almost geometric fern lace lays under the nearly invisible organza and chantilly lace "veil". This dress is unlike any wedding dress I've ever seen. It is the ideal take on a classic silhouette with a thoughtful and unique twist. This dress gave me killer shape without going full mermaid, which can sometimes look harsh. I did take out one layer of crinoline to soften the look of the skirt and added a French Bustle. The dress is incredibly romantic, perfect for an outdoor wedding!
